A Bit About Roxanne!

Everyone meet SAMD Moulin Rouge (Roxanne). This is the first jennet, sired by Farmstead's Cotton Top Mounts, to be offered to the public.

Cotton Top, Roxanne's sire, has a very limited pedigree, in the United States. He is one of only two foals, sired by Farmstead's Henry Knox, in the USA. His sire, after producing 2 foals, was exported to Australia. His dam is Frontier Legend's Cinna, a very well-known and successful show jennet, who has only ever won first or second in halter. Unfortunately, Cinna has only ever been able to produce Cotton Top. Cotton Top truly is a one-of-a-kind jack.

Roxanne's dam, CbarChass Always Dreaming Red, is a full sister to the famous CbarChass Ruffy Jr, who is a multi-halter and performance champion. Red is an extremely well-built jennet, with an amazing mind, and beautiful look.

We could not be any more pleased with this pairing. Roxanne has beautiful, long legs, her neck flows nicely to her withers, her bite is currently even, and she has amazing color. She is also extremely friendly and LOVES her scratches, just like her sire and dam.

Roxanne is not your "every day" donkey. Of course, she can make a WONDERFUL pet; however, this little girl is definitely a great brood jennet and/or show prospect. She has an extremely proven line of successful show donkeys.

Like we said above, Roxanne is the first jennet foal, produced by Cotton Top, to be offered to the public. One of her half-sisters, HHAA Cherry On Top, won Reserve Junior Champion Halter Donkey, at the 2025 SC State Fair, at only 6 months old. Roxanne is definitely one to watch and would be a great addition to someone's herd... with her limited pedigree, history of very successful donkeys in her background, amazing color, and beautiful look.

Her pedigree includes Frontier Legend's Cinna, Farmstead's Henry Knox, WLDF Tin Roof Sunday, Country Music's Eli Barsi, Sunset Acres Radio Flyer, Circle C Black Russian, MGF Fiftyfire 519, S.S. Red Lightning, Windcrest Little Red Man, LCR Valentino 50, Boone's, Circle C Little Motown, Hartman Donkeys, and so many other well-known names.

We do require that our donkeys go to a home that provides another donkey as a companion... preferably same sex. If you are interested in Roxanne, contact us for more information.

All of our foals prices include gelding (if they are a jack (unless discussed otherwise in depth)), vaccinations, boosters, rabies, negative coggins, several foal de-worming's, several hoof trims, health certificates (if they are leaving TN), etc. We give copies of and handle transferring MDR or ADR papers, and ACOSA papers (if they are spotted) into new owner's name. We also handle our foals A LOT. We pick up their hooves, starting at a day old... teach them to lead, stand tied, do some fun obstacle training, trailer loading, etc. Whether our donkeys go to show homes, therapy programs, pet homes, etc... we find all of this to be very important, to build a strong foundation, for them to be confident in their new homes.
