We have had the joy of knowing Willie and Tolley for a few years now. Willie has been aged, by our vet, to be between 17-20 years old. The surface of his teeth say 20 but his fronts say 17. However, don't let Willie's age fool you. Age is just a number to him and he might as well be a 5 year old.

Willie is very playful, LOVES attention, and is extremely willing. He is easy to handle, trots when you ask him to, and trimming his hooves is a simple task. Although he would rather be right next to you, he stands tied and will wait his turn. 

 

We recently took Willie to our friend's indoor arena. As far as we are aware, Willie has never had any kind of obstacle training. You would never believe it, with the way he walks right over everything! Bridges, Teeter Totters, and Plastic Pools are no big deal to him. He is happy to try whatever you ask him to do.

Willie is up to date of his vaccinations, coggins, and deworming. His registration application for ADR was sent out 9/17/2025. His sale will include the transfer of his papers into his new owner's name. Although we do not know his pedigree, since he will be ADR Registered, he will still be able to show at NMDA Sanctioned Shows... if someone wished to do so.

Willie is no trouble to us. He just recently shared a large pasture with our 6 horses, mini horse, and about 12 other donkeys. Now, he is with the "gelding gang," who have their own pasture. One of the geldings he has been with is Lil Graceland King Creole, who is an extremely well-trained donkey. They are the same age and do very well together. Willie and Creole can be sold as a pair. However, no matter what, we are requiring that they both go to homes that will have another donkey companion for them.
