Write Up:
Update: At the 2024 Music City Show, Ziggy took home Reserve ACOSA Champion and won his halter class! At the SC State Fair, Ziggy also won his halter class... but was also named Reserve Champion Jack! We are so proud of our handsome gentleman.
At the 2024 NMDA Nationals, Ziggy placed 4/4 in his Yearling Jack Halter Class. The judge really complimented him but said he "still looks like a baby." At that time, he was maybe 27" tall, up against very bulky jacks and much taller jacks. However, when it came to Pre-Green In-Han Trail, Ziggy won 2nd out of 15!
In 2024, Ziggy was also a part of a very large wedding, wearing a flower crown. He enjoyed High Noons, given to him by some of the bridesmaids, lol! Now that he is older, we do not take him to as many events, that are not donkey related. But this boy will let you lead him right into a show office, barn office, inside of a house, up stairs, etc.
When Ziggy was 6 months old, he attended the SC State Fair Show. There were no pre-green classes, so he was bumped up to the green classes... and he absolutely dominated! Ziggy received 1st out of 3 in Halter Foals, 2nd out of 7 in Showmanship Green, 2nd out of 4 in Lead Race Green, and 4th out of 15... yes !!4th!!, for In-Hand Trail Green! We all knew that he was special, the day that he was born, but he truly blew us away! He has a very bright future ahead of him.
This boy has some AMAZING legs and an incredibly perfect bite! His neck also flawlessly flows to his withers and through to his back. He also already has a mane that lays across his neck. His dam has an 8" long mane and forelock. We believe he inherited her long hair. **Update: we have clipped him so many times that it has been difficult to track growth. We plan on leaving her hair for a while**
On top of that, he is full of personality! He is quite the spunky boy and already melts in people's arms! He absolutely loves scratches, just like his mama, and has not shown any fear!
We are going to show him and watch how he matures. From the day he was born to now, we have believed that he is going to make an outstanding herd sire. We look forward to seeing how he grows. Then we will decide what direction he should go.
