A Bit About Mirage

We are so extremely excited to share about the arrival of SAMD Double Take (Ditto)! This little boy is thick! He earned the name "Double Take," due to reminding us so very much of his sire, SAMD Murphy. He has stocky legs and a masculine head. He is going to be a gorgeous boy when he is grown.

Ditto is a half brother to Multi NMDA Reserve and Champion Hi Point Jennet, SAMD Optical Illusion... who also has won Reserve and Champion Junior Halter Donkey, plus was the 2026 NMDA Hi-Point Pre-Green National Champion! Ditto is also a full brother to the very beloved SAMD Peaky Blinders (Wynx), who was a jack foal born in spring of 2025. Wynx was a foal that learned extremely quickly and never saw anything as a "challenge." At only 8 months old, he was a part of a live nativity scene, at a town event with 3,000+ people. Many were shocked by how well behaved, willing, and easy going he was, especially at such a young age. Wynx has since been sold to a family that is doing events with their donkeys.

Ditto's sire is SAMD Murphy, our very first donkey. 2025 was Murphy's first show season (besides one show he attended two years prior). After his first year of showing, Murphy won the 2025 NMDA End of Year Hi-Point Miniature Donkey - Jack! Very impressive for his first show season. Murphy is known as the jack with the gelding personality. He has a great demeanor that is passed onto his foals.

Ditto's dam, Legendary's Prima Donna, is one of our "go to" event donkeys. She has been in a couple of weddings, parades, and a few other events. Donna is always happy to do whatever we ask of her. Her foals have also been extremely willing.

This little boy's lineage has a proven line of successful halter donkeys, performance donkeys, and amazingly willing donkeys all around. His grand dam’s pedigree, on dam’s side, is all Cobra. Also on dam’s pedigree, her sire is Li’l Angel’s Indiana Jones, who is a producer of many champions while also being a champion himself. Sire’s pedigree also includes older lines... including Arrow Creek Hudini, Dewey Meadows Valentino, Dewey Meadows Primo, N&D’s donkeys, and more!

We do require that our donkeys go to a home that provides another donkey as a companion... preferably same sex. We typically will only do same sex pairs, unless discussed in further detail. If you are interested in Ditto, contact us for more information.

All of our foals prices include gelding (if they are a jack (unless discussed otherwise in depth)), vaccinations, boosters, rabies, negative coggins, several foal de-worming's, several hoof trims, health certificates (if they are leaving TN), etc. We give copies of and handle transferring MDR or ADR papers, and ACOSA papers (if they are spotted) into new owner's name. We also handle our foals A LOT. We pick up their hooves, starting at a day old... teach them to lead, stand tied, do some fun obstacle training, trailer loading, etc. Whether our donkeys go to show homes, therapy programs, pet homes, etc... we find all of this to be very important, to build a strong foundation, for them to be confident in their new homes.

Stay in Touch!

We do not have a waiting list for available donkeys. We share when foals are born and then people contact us if they are interested. If you would like to be updated on our newborn foals, donkeys that become available, show results, and more fun topics... we recommend that you subscribe to our email list.

***PSA: we require that our donkeys go to homes that will provide another donkey as a companion for them. We will not sell a donkey to be a single donkey. A single donkey can become depressed and/or develop behavioral issues... even if they live with another kind of equine.***

Make sure you check your "promotions" and/or "spam/junk" folders, for emails regarding our farm.
